From Whisker to Tail follows the adventures  of an ensemble of woodland creatures through winter and summer. Among the group is  fast-talking Squirrel who always has an idea; cautious Mouse who often gets dragged along; and grumpy Marmot who is learning to knit, but not very well. When a set of mysterious tracks show up on Hare's snowy yard, could it be there's another creature lurking in the shadows?  One with big claws and a lumbering gait? Or could it just be Hedgehog playing tricks on his friends? At any rate, let's not worry about that just yet. There are adventures to be had!

Excerpt from Squirrel's Fastest Sled

The snow lay plump as a marshmallow atop Raccoon’s roof as Mouse made his way over, pulling his yellow sled behind. He glanced at the icicles hanging from the corners of Raccoon’s lean-to shed. Maybe Hare would make her icicle wind chimes today.

“Come! Come!” Squirrel beckoned Mouse into Raccoon’s shed where her latest invention lay, large and lumpy under its sheet.

“Ready?” Squirrel grabbed a corner of the sheet and yanked it off like a magician unveiling her final act. “Tada!”

Mouse gasped. He stared up at the shiny black sled.

Squirrel hopped around it, showing it off. “It all works! The windshield wipers, the fan propeller, the steering wheel—”

          PAAARP!

          Mouse jumped three tail-lengths.

          “…and the horn!”
